Description
After Dubai hotel/ from the place of your convenience pickup by a Hi-ace/Coach. Our vehicle heads for a thrilling drive over the golden sand dunes, deep into the heart of the desert, enjoy being driven inside the comfortable vehicle, as we pass through Burj Khalifa and SZR. After a drive of 30 mins, the desert sands replace the city’s skyscrapers.
We arrive at a point where we board off and hop into a 4X4 Land Cruiser. Get lost in the splendor of the desert landscape, as you enjoy an electrifying off-road driving and explore the lows and highs of vast stretches of sand dunes.
After reducing the tyres pressure, you’ve got to fasten your seat belts, as we begin with the teeth tightening dune bashing, in the hands of a highly skilled dune rider. Your dune ride starts in a convoy of land cruisers. We guarantee your adrenaline pumps higher for these 25 to 30 minutes. You get a chance to click your camera button quite frequently.
Within minutes as the hum of the land cruiser engine rises to match the turbo noise of a taking off jetliner and as the sand covers the screens of the vehicle, you find your head touching the roof of the vehicle quite often. Experience your adrenaline rushing as your vehicle climbs an almost 60 to 65 degrees up on the thick sand and suddenly falls down to an almost 70 degrees downside ride, making you scream in absolute horror. After the joyous bashing, you will get a chill on your hips as the vehicle comes to a standstill on a sand cliff.
Time now, is to grab a sand board and enjoy surfing down the slopes. Get tips from your guide on mastering your board and increase your speed as your confidence builds. By this time, you can enjoy the view of the sun setting down behind the Dunes, hold your hearts to freeze the moments in your memory forever as nothing but nature can bring any better treat for your eyes.
We drive off-road for a couple of minutes to reach our desert camp sits set among the rolling dunes. Before entering, take an adventure ride on the Camels, see these hardy animals up close and enjoy a camel ride around the enclosures.
Arrive at the desert camp, where a welcome awaits each of you, in the pure Arabian tradition with dates and tea. Enjoy the true Arabian ambiance, at this typical Bedouin campsite, with Arabian carpets, low tables and cushions for comfortable seating.
As the sun sets, relax at the camp or get a henna tattoo on your hands or feet and puff the aromatic Sheesha (Arabic water pipe) available in different flavors. Guests can also indulge in a variety of Bedouin-inspired cultural experiences like a photo opportunity in Arabic costumes. You can also buy souvenirs from the Arabian shops.
At the desert camp, savor a succulent barbecue buffet dinner of classic Arabian dishes like hummus (chickpea dip) and marinated chicken. Enjoy your dinner with a wide variety of barbecue meats, salads, main-course and deserts.
As darkness falls, the climax of the evening is the stunning performance by an exotic belly dancer under the star-lit sky, followed by a Tanura display, featuring whirling dervish-style dancers, plus a fire show. (except during religious holidays or government orders).

Important to know before you book
- Pregnant ladies and those with back pain, neck pain, should not book Dune Bashing. We recommend them, to directly go to the camp and enjoy our hospitality
- Children (below 3 years of age) are not allowed in the car during dune bashing
- We also recommend not to eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid vomiting/sickness during dune bashing, however there are many people who ate and they feel fine.
- For ‘Dress Code’ the choice is yours. You may wear casuals like light cloths & shorts with slippers, sport shoes or sandals, during Desert Safari. However, we recommend you to wear sport shoes so you can practice sandboarding safely and if you are planning not to practice sandboarding, we recommend you to wear slippers/sandals so as to feel the soothing soft sand. Also, this prevents getting sand into your shoes / boots.
- Your belongings are your own responsibility and Arabian Routes is not responsible for anything lost during the trip. In case if we find anything, we will try our best to deliver it, to whom they belong to.
- Safety: We are utmost careful about your safety. Our drivers are professional and licensed drivers, our cars are fitted with roll cage to protect the occupants from being injured in an accident, particularly in the event of a roll-over in the desert which is very rare. Additionally, there are seat belts for every passenger. We use 4X4 Land Cruisers for our safari. Also, from the moment you are in our cars you are insured. All our cars and their passengers are covered under insurance.
MUST DO’S
Camera/Selfies: One must carry a camera when going to a desert safari in Dubai as the views are breath taking and awesome. Do try the Arabic coffee at the camp and shake your belly with our belly dancer.
Sand Ski: A very popular part of the desert safari. You get to ski from the highest dunes on a ski board, anyone can do it, as if you fall the soft sand is there to catch you. A thrilling experience and one that every-one should try on a desert safari.
Camel Trek: Another popular activity in the desert is the camel trek. Enjoy the sunset while riding the camel. This is a more personal way to experience the desert environment, you also get a glimpse of the desert vegetation and the strange insects on the sand.
How to Book
A very knowledgeable support agent attends you and answer your questions. Your schedule is set with us for a specific day with pick-up from your location in Dubai. You get confirmation from us through email.
On the day of the tour, a branded Land Cruiser/Hi-ace/Coach comes, you board the vehicle along with your family & friends and the tour starts.
Child Policy
- Under 3 years of age: free of charge if they do not occupy a seat.
- Under 10 years: 75% of the tour cost of an adult.
- Children above the age of 10 years are considered as adults.
Terms and Conditions
- The SIC tour transfer timing might be modified by 30 to 60 minutes, based on several aspects including vehicle availability, traffic condition and your location.
- If the guest fails to turn up on-time for the pick-up, Arabian Routes has the right to charge “No Show” of the Guest.
- No refund or alternate transfer services will be provided, if guests do not show up at the designated pick-up point on-time. We understand that, that there can be some delays for which the driver will wait for you for a maximum of 5-10 minutes. After that, it is considered as “No Show”. It is the onus of the guest to respect time of other guests waiting in the car.
- For trip delays or cancellation that occurs due to reasons beyond our control, such as vehicle breakdown, bad weather or traffic issues, Arabian Routes will arrange alternate services but based on its availability.
- Our drivers or tours guides take care of the seating arrangement, which largely depends on its availability.
- Pick up from areas other than City Center Hotels will be done on request with an additional surcharge.

What kind of vouchers are accepted?
You can present either a printed or a mobile voucher for this activity. The voucher is valid only on the date and time specified.
How do I get informed when I am there at my hotel about the arrangements?
Our reservation team will call you 6-24 hours prior to your tour time, for follow up of your booking & confirm the pick-up location. On tour day; our driver will call you 30 minutes before coming to pick you up.
At what time should I expect the driver and where?
Please arrive at the hotel lobby 10 minutes before scheduled departure time. An operator will confirm your pick-up time in advance.
Kindly be patient in cases of unforeseen delays along the pick-up route in case of shared transfers
